Passionate about my purpose!

Lord, you have ignited such passion within me for the call you have placed on my heart; it's about my purpose for your kingdom! It's with me wherever I go and I think about it all the time. I can’t predict what's next or what door you will open next, I just know that you are leading me somewhere great and I am excited about the journey! I pray that lives will be changed and hearts will be stirred for you!

Can I encourage you today to stop judging yourself?

Do you struggle with self-acceptance? So many of us tend to compare ourselves to others and then we pass judgment on ourselves and determine that we come up short. Why is it that we don't seem to appreciate who God created us to be? Why can't we simply be happy with who we are? Do you experience this feeling of low self-worth? I know I sometimes do. God created us differently for a reason. Each being is unique in his or her own way; we're uniquely crafted individuals purposely formed by God for God. When we are critical and judge one another, we are judging God’s work and when we judge ourselves, we are actually saying to God that we don’t like what He made. Sometimes we have to dig deep to find self-acceptance because when we don't accept ourselves as God made us, we not only reject His workmanship, but we open up a huge opportunity for our discontent to grow and expand into other areas of our lives. “ We are God’s workmanship” (Ephesians 2:10). “Do something that you enjoy every day”

Doing things that we love to do helps us to relax. Often times I find that when it’s something I love doing I take my time doing it and lose all sense of time, which means I am really enjoying what I am doing! I love to write, so I’ve dedicated time to write something everyday. I’ve also made time to find new recipes to cook a new dish and I have done some baking too! I like to paint and draw, so those are next on my list. I’m also grateful for the time I have to do some reading. The weather is also getting better so I’m thinking about swimming soon! I went for a walk and thought about my rollerblades sitting in the closet, so I will be getting those out this weekend if it doesn’t rain! These are just some of the things that I like to do. Maybe you own a bike, so go for a ride. Call up some friends and just sit and have coffee or see a movie. You might enjoy gardening, or putting together flower arrangements. Obsessed with exercising again!

I've become obsessed with exercising again. Next to God and my family, its one of the things I think about most, ok and good food too! I just woke up one day and decided I'm so sick and tired of feeling unhealthy and not being physically fit and not doing anything consistently to change it. I want this to become a life style and not just sporadic impulses of going crazy exercising and losing a bunch of weight and then falling into a slump and gaining the weight back. My struggles with weight has been a constant battle since my early 30's and it doesn't seem to get any better as I get older. Determined to stay focused and shed the weight!
